One of the famous cities in Florida, US, is this Winter Garden. This is present just 23 km west of Downtown Orlando. This is present in the western part of Orange County and was established in 1903. This cities old name is Beulah which was established in 1857 by Henry Harrel. This city is surrounded by the West Oakland, in the east Ocoee and the south and north it is surrounded by the Windermere and the Lake Apopka.
Newton was the first mayor of the Winter Garden. This city becomes the centre of commerce and agriculture in West Orange County. The city continued to expand further because of the intrusion of the industries and the commercial businesses. Even though there are many difficulties it has faced like the water pollution in the lake and the others still the winter garden retained its historical feature. Therefore this city is the perfect example of historic preservation now.
The city has a population of above 46,051, according to the 2019 survey. The city’s total area is 15.6 square miles, and in that, only 0.19 miles is the water. This city consists of a vast number of restaurants, shops, cafes, and two museums and arts venues. The vast area of about one million square meters consists of the open-air shopping centre. This is present along the Daniels road just north of SR 429. Here the visitors and residents can use the Sunday Farmer’s market, which will occur about two o’clock in the afternoon from morning 9 o’clock. This will be the best one for the residents and the tourists to do the shopping and enjoy the cool live music in the background. The area around the Winter Garden consists of vast citrus farms. The plant street market is the must-visit place for the tourists as they can explore a lot of the bohemian, artsy, and chic. There are also many options to explore the varieties of chocolates, bakeries, and health-related products.
There are two museums present in the Winter Garden. One is the Winter Garden Heritage Museum, and the other is the Central Florida Rail Road Museum. The visitors can explore the city’s culture, history, and character in the museum. The Winter Garden Heritage Museum was established in 1918, located in Atlantic Coast Line Train Depot.
